Pelvic Floor Surgery Master Class Successfully Completed at Leningrad Regional Clinical Hospital

On May 28–29, a Pelvic Floor Surgery Master Class was held at Leningrad Regional Clinical Hospital, focusing on modern approaches to the treatment of pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary incontinence.

The educational program was traditionally led by Anton V. Malushko, MD, PhD, Head of the Gynecology Department.

During the master class, surgical procedures for the correction of pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary incontinence were performed using Calistar S, Splentis, and Steema mesh implant systems. Participants had the opportunity to gain detailed insight into surgical techniques, discuss indications for different treatment approaches, and take part in the analysis of real clinical cases.

One of the distinguishing features of the master class series at Leningrad Regional Clinical Hospital is its small-group format. This approach allows each participant to become fully immersed in the educational process, observe surgical procedures firsthand, engage in discussions on treatment strategies, and receive practical guidance directly in the operating room.
